So it wasn't just sightseeing...

While I said I did not go to Ireland to get drunk, I did try some of the many fine drinks while I was there. Guinness obviously, some with black currant in it which was good, and my favorite; Bulmer's hard cider. And yes, Guinness tastes much better in Ireland than in America!

I'd like to try it! You have to try out all the local foods and beverages in every country. I wonder why it is better there?

I think it tastes better because it's fresher. And there are very specific rules about how to pour and serve a Guinness which sometimes get overlooked in the states. The best brew I had was at the Guinness brewery, go figure.
